GREAT PARENTING ALERT!
The New York International Children’s Film Festival FEBRUARY 27 – MARCH 22, 2015
Tickets are now on sale for the 18th annual New York Int’l Children’s Film Festival! This year’s lineup is a big one! We had so many great selections to choose from, this year’s Opening Night and Closing Day are packed with TWO features…each. From brand new films from Aardman Animationsand Studio Ghibli, to three stunning docs, and of course, our six short film programs, there is truly something for everyone. But act fast – as always, tickets sell quickly!
I have attended this film festival almost every year since I discovered it with my own children and it always has some great feature films. You can usually also catch an early release of a major children’s movie coming out in theatres but also view international films that you might normally see.
If you grew up in the 80s and 90s like me then this post warms your heart and gets you a bit excited. If you feel bad you were out of the loop about this kickstarter campaign last year DONT BE. The $1,00,000 goal was reached and surpassed in 12 hours! With over $5 million dollars pledged so far LeVar Burton creator of the Reading Rainbow program, has embarked on a campaign to reinvent it for kids of the digital age. I loved Raining Rainbow as a kid growing up and I’m excited about the idea that it is something I could possibly share with my own children! But you don’t have to take MY word for it….
